Crown And Castle Hotel - Orford

Great hotel with free wi-fi, a lovely bar, and helpful staff. They even found my car keys during my first stay! Highly recommend for a relaxing experience. I'll be back for my next business trip.

The location was lovely and stunning for my stay, 500 metres from St Bartholomews Church. The bus stop was 10 minutes' walk away. My bed was very comfy and the room was nicely furnished with a comfortable bed. Enjoyed generous and delicious breakfast options with luscious meat, freshly squeezed orange juice, wines.

The staff displayed really good attentiveness. The room was spacious, well-lit, and equipped with thoughtful amenities such as fresh milk and comfortable seating. The Crown provides a perfect blend of comfort and excellent service.

Parking might be insufficient if fully booked.

The gardens were so blooming lovely. I seemed like a queen strolling through a royal estate. The access to the main building was smooth.

More comfortable seating in common areas.

The garden room was lovely-really comfortable with nice outdoor seating. The view of the private garden and castle was a highlight. It did get a bit too hot, and the shower had its issues with temperature. Kind of a letdown for the price. But I did love the thoughtful amenities like fresh milk and homemade biscuits.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was super cozy, clean, and had nice decor. The food in the restaurant was amazin and had a great variety on the menu. Loved the little touches like fresh milk for tea in the room. Orford is a lovely village with beautiful houses.

the bathroom could've been cleaner and parking might be an issue if the hotel is full.

The double room with garden view had a lovely walk-in shower, a tv, and tea/coffee maker. Nice touch was the bottle of spring water and biscuits. Breakfast was served by waiters and featured a great selection, like organic juices and fresh pastries. Really nice gardens to relax in too.

The location offers fine views and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The dining experience was disappointing due to uncleanliness in the dining area, with flies present. Breakfast service was inconsistent, leading to delays and incomplete orders, which marred the overall experience. The room itself was comfortable but showed signs of wear that could use attention.

A good seaside escape with fine views

The fresh milk for tea and high-quality toiletries made a real difference. Dining was a highlight, with exquisite local seafood dishes and generous breakfast options that were beautifully presented. The atmosphere was relaxed. One area for improvement would be to enhance the drink menu to include more classic cocktails.

The garden-view rooms being set in a motel-style building, rather than the main structure, felt a bit underwhelming at first. One room had a loud extractor fan near the kitchen that disrupted the peace, especially when the window was open. The beds appeared cozy but left much to be desired in terms of firmness. They reminded me of they were in need of replacement. The fitting of the room's TV had cables hanging loosely, which just detracted a bit from the otherwise neat presentation.

The stay featured an amazing lobster with tagliatelle and delicious duck breast that stood out. Friendly staff enhanced the experience, ensuring a cute atmosphere throughout. The noise from nearby activities was noticeable at night, somewhat detracting from the relaxation. The alluring aromas from the kitchen sometimes invaded the room, competing with the fresh sea air.

I loved the personal service for breakfast, it felt special! The food was delicious, especially the imaginative takes on classics, and I enjoyed controlling the room heating myself.
